4.1 General description
Cutting with automatic control of HF (Auto Cut) voltage ERBOTOM ICC is equipped with open and closed loop control systems control and regulate the relevant parameters for the quality of cut so that each the quality of cut is guaranteed to be reproducible and constant.

Mild coagulation:

Gentle coagulation can be activated by a key or a pedal.

Forced coagulation:

Forced coagulation is advantageous if effective hemostasis is to be achieved with relatively
small area electrodes, such as TUR resection loops.

Spray coagulation:

The coagulation mode by sputtering on the CCI is also suitable for argon gas coagulation.
Adjustable power limitation in different modes of coagulation
For ERBOTOM ICC units, surgically relevant coagulation qualities, ie coagulation
Soft Coag., Forced Coag effects. Coag spray. and Bipolar Coag., are delimited by definition
from each other and selectable by the touch of a button. Nevertheless, the intensity of the different the effects can be modified by the power limitation.

Bipolar coagulation:

In this mode of coagulation, the HF voltage is, similar to the mild coagulation, automatically and
constantly controlled, and its maximum value remains always less than 200 Vp, so that the current density and therefore the coagulation effect is, for the most part, independent of actual contact surface between the coagulation electrode and the tissue, provided that the effective contact surface is not too big compared to the currently defined power limit.
